1824 Bar

1824 is our private cocktail bar which is reserved solely for the exclusive use of Shelbourne’s overnight in-house guests. Tucked away off the grand staircase, away from the bustle of the hotel and the city outside, 1824 offers a luxe, intimate, and sophisticated atmosphere with low lighting, and rich wood paneling. Flanking the bar are vibrant murals in two panels by artist Paul Slater, featuring a fantasy landscape populated by characters from Irish fiction, film, and history, as well as notable guests from across the hotel’s last two hundred years. 1824 is the perfect spot to escape for a quiet pre-dinner drink or post-theatre nightcap offering a choice of exquisite twists on classic favorites made with the finest ingredients.

Lord Mayor's Lounge

Ireland's most iconic drawing room looks out on the only garden grand enough to match: the glorious St. Stephen's Green. The Lord Mayor's Lounge is the perfect back drop for a special day in Dublin. A room sparkling with light it is a welcoming setting for an early morning breakfast meeting. A rich cup of coffee, a deep plush chair, perfectly arranged cut flowers, and a front-row seat to the natural drama of the Green. In the late morning, The Lord Mayor's Lounge moves to the celebratory theatre of that most civilised ritual: the art of Afternoon Tea. All is sweetness and light, sugar and spice. The Horseshoe Bar

One of The Shelbourne's treasures - The Horseshoe Bar has always been a destination, an institution and a living history of Irish society. From business and politics to the arts, it has been home to some of Ireland's most fascinating characters since 1957. A warm and intimate bar for a perfect pint of plain, a beloved local whiskey or a well-built martini. The curved brass-trimmed bar and rich red walls create an atmospheric setting where the customer is only a few feet from the bartender and the next round.

The Saddle Room

The Saddle Room encompasses the cherished traditions of dining at The Shelbourne, developed over generations. This is a reassuringly timeless and elegant dining room with a relaxed atmosphere, old-school Irish service and a menu full of classic favourites. The Terrace

A hidden, unexpected and enchanting open-air space, you will find The Terrace on the mezzanine level. This relaxed little plaza with a view of the sky blurs the edge between indoors and out with delightful effect.
