The BEST cruise ever!

November

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

Recommended: Yes

Book this cruise. You won't regret it. With 10k persons on board the ship still felt empty. Nowhere was excessively crowded. So much to see and do. The entertainment staff was superb and the food was excellent. Housekeeping was literally invisible. The rooms were just magically cleaned every day.

Utopia

October

Pros: Lots of stuff for a family to do /shows

Cons: None

Recommended: Yes

We enjoyed our trip on Utopia of the Seas. The kids loved going to the kids club. Both the ice show, and the aqua show. The food was good. The dining room staff was great and even brought my daughter extra shrimp when he found out she loved it.

Great Weekend Aboard Utopia of the Seas

September

Pros: There was so much to do!

Cons:

Recommended: Yes

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent cruise aboard Utopia. It is a great ship and easy to move around and about! The crew was very friendly and helpful. The ship was very clean and someone was always working to maintain the cleanliness at all times. I also appreciated the hand washing and hand sanitizer stations that were everywhere! Perfect Day at Coco Cay was also a great time.

Utopia Weekend Cruise

August

Pros: Loved the modern decor and all the employees were supberb.

Cons: Too many adults drinking alcohol at times in the pool and getting too loud around the younger kids which is supposed to be a family oriented boat. Should have an adult only pool . Also you need to have a library.

Recommended: Yes

All in all a great ship. The food was good, the shows were good and the employees were the best. I did a back to back cruise and my daughter and family did the three day part of our week on the boat and they said the three day was too short to enjoy everything.

Inaugural Sailing of Utopia of the Seas

July

Pros: Great upgrades over Wonder of the Seas

Cons: Can be difficult to get reservations at restaurants and shows for 3 night cruise. Not crazy about the location of Playmakers on the Boardwalk. Can get very hot in the summer months making it difficult to enjoy the space.

Recommended: Yes

Loved the ship and it is now my favorite Oasis Class ship. Solarium is fantastic and the Pesky Parrot was a great upgrade over Bionic Bar. Elevators are a big improvement. Love the location and design of Giovanni's Wine Bar and enjoyed Izumi in the Park.

Utopia Inaugural Sailing

July

Pros: Technology, Venues, Activity Diversity, Staterooms

Cons: Pool can be a bit louder

Recommended: Yes

Many people (including Royal Caribbean) paint Utopia as a "booze cruise" or a party ship.. and while it does facilitate that more than any other RC ship, it's not out of control and leading to unwanted behaviors. Yes — The pool deck was more lively and played upbeat DJ music instead of the usual relaxing Caribbean tunes. Some of this spilled over more noticeably into Central Park throughout the day, for example. Otherwise, my wife and I had a very “traditional” Oasis-class cruise where we enjoyed the food, shows, and pub/Mason Jar and the “party” elements were virtually undetectable to us because we did not go to them. You do NOT need to avoid Utopia if you’re not into the party scene.
